Catalina 36mkII: Always a crowd favorite, the Catalina 36 is arguably the most beautiful boat that Catalina ever built. She’s graceful, strong, and fast, yet, very comfortable. “Tribute” has a wing keel for shallow water capability, air conditioning, in-mast furling, and a top-of-the-line chartplotter and radar. Combined with a solid autopilot, all of her equipment, and an accommodating deck and cabin layout make “Tribute” and excellent choice for your charter vacation. Accommodations: Berths for seven are provided in V-Berth (2), Port Settee (2), Starboard Settee (1), and aft cabin berth (2). The main cabin is nicely finished in Crystal UltraLeather. Down the companionway, the galley is open, light, well ventilated, and provides plenty of storage. The head is located conveniently to port forward of the dinette. Opposite the galley is a nav station with swivel seat, chart table, and electrical panel. Unique to the Catalina 36mkII is a convertible breakfast table that allows the owner to leave the large dinette table stored on the main bulkhead for larger meals or more diners. With the bulkhead mounted table out of the way, the interior cabin space is enormous…giving the cabin a true “big-boat” feel. The private aft cabin is accessible to starboard just aft of the nav station. Galley The best galley ever in a 36 footer!! Complete with an Adler-Barbour refrigeration system, the food-cooling needs are taken care of in a dual top-loading insulated icebox. A Hillerange propane stove has 2 burners and an oven and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Complementing the galley set-up is a dual stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage space. Head A reliable Thetford marine head is provided along with a shower with hot and cold water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12-Volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor-free. White fiberglass and Formica surfaces provide light and easy to clean surfaces. Mirrors are plentiful and conveniently placed behind and beside the sink. The owner’s cabin forward has private access to the head. A 20-gallon holding tank may be emptied via a dockside pumpout or discharged via a 12-Volt macerator pump and thru hull.
