One of Catalina Yacht's most successful designs, the 320 provides the comfort, stability and volume of a much larger yacht. Starting with her easily managed sail plan with both roller furling genoa and main sail, large self tailing cabin top and primary winches, traveller with 6 to 1 purchase, comfortable cockpit with enough room for six adults, wide side decks to safely move forward to drop and retrieve the ground tackle with the electric Maxwell windlass……..To the voluminous cabin, with comfortable berths to accommodate up to 7 adults, large head with shower, screened hatches and port lights to provide plenty of ventilation, a full galley to provide space and function to prepare gourmet delights, it’s no wonder “AUDACIEUSE” is one of the most popular yachts in our fleet.

Accommodations:

Berths for seven are provided in V-Berth (2), Port Settee (1), Starboard Settee (2), and aft cabin berth (2). The main cabin is nicely finished in blue UltraLeather. Down the companionway, the galley is open, light, well ventilated, and provides plenty of storage. The head is located conveniently to starboard forward of the aft cabin. Forward of the galley is a nav station with its own chart table, and electrical panel. The private aft cabin is accessible to starboard just aft of the companionway.

Galley

Complete with an Adler-Barbour refrigeration system, the food-cooling needs are taken care of in a dual top-loading insulated icebox. A propane stove has 2-burners and an oven and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Complementing the galley set-up is a dual stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage space.

Head

A reliable manual marine head is provided along with a shower with hot and cold water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12-Volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor-free. White fiberglass and Formica surfaces provide light and easy to clean surfaces. Mirrors are plentiful and conveniently placed behind and beside the sink. A 20-gallon holding tank may be emptied via a dockside pumpout or discharged via a 12-Volt macerator pump and thru hull.

Electrical

Audacieuse has both 110-Volt AC and 12-Volt DC services. The 110-Volt AC shore power provides dockside service for hot water, battery charger, and multiple outlets in the galley, head, and each cabin. Breakers are provided for each. The 12-Volt DC system has two 4-D batteries connected by a selector switch for isolating batteries or combining them. Both the 110-Volt and 12-Volt service panels are equipped with breaker switches at the nav station.

Electronics

Audacieuse is equipped with RayMarine electronics: Speed, Depth, and Wind instruments are located at the helm in a pod with a handheld GPS. There is a RayMarine Repeater below at the nav station to duplicate almost all of the information supplied at the helm. A VHF Radio is available at the nav station with a remote mic located at the helm. The stereo has four speakers (two in, two out), CD, and AM/FM.

Deck and Hull

The Catalina 320 has unique observation seats fitted integrally into the stern rail to provide additional secure seating in the cockpit. Cockpit cushions are custom fit for all cockpit seating. The swim ladder lowers to access the transom platform through a walk-thru in the stern rail to make transom access easy. Audacieuse has an electric windlass servicing two anchors with chain/rope rodes. Rodes lead aft into a hinged anchor locker. There are multiple deck hatches and opening ports to provide ventilation below decks. All sail controls lead aft to the cockpit. A large cockpit locker is found on the port side and smaller lockers are located on either side of the helm seat. The cockpit is very well suited for social gatherings with a fold-up double dropleaf fiberglass cockpit table. A dodger, bimini, and connector will help control any inclement weather and provide shade in the cockpit. There is a hot and cold pressure cockpit shower.

Sails and Rigging

Audacieuse is sloop rigged with in-mast furling and genoa furling. All sail controls are within easy reach in the cockpit. A rigid boom vang is provided.

Mechanical

A Yanmar 20 horsepower diesel will keep Audacieuse moving when the wind drops. The engine alternator will charge the batteries when the engine is running and provide hot water away from the dock or at anchor. Audacieuse has a fixed 3-blade bronze propeller for smooth and reliable engine operation.

Safety Equipment and Accessories

All US Coast Guard required equipment is aboard including life jackets, horseshoe buoy, flares, air horn, and fire extinguishers. An automatic electrical and a manual bilge pump are provided.
