We are delighted to offer one of Pacific Seacraft’s best-handling, seakindly, and graceful models. The Pacific Seacraft 31 is the perfect choice for all types of sailing… whether sailing close to home or reaching for a distant horizon. Her hull design provides for full rudder and propeller protection and a deep-V shape forward for a comfortable ride. She also offers shoal draft capabilities with the optional Scheel keel. “Slainte” is in excellent condition and is ready to take her new owners on the next big adventure.
Accommodations: Berths for six are provided in the V-berth (2), port and starboard settees (2), and aft quarter berth (2). Down the companionway, the chart table is located conveniently to starboard with the galley just opposite. To port and aft is the quarterberth. The Pacific Seacraft 31 features an open cabin layout very similar to the famous Pacific Seacraft Dana model - except that it's larger. The unique dining table is forward between the settees and conveniently slides away under the v-berth when not in use. The enclosed head is aft to starboard. Over the main cabin is a large hatch with screen for ventilation. All ports are opening polished bronze with tempered glass and screens.
Galley The galley is equipped with a top-loading insulated icebox. The Force 10 stainless steel propane stove has 2-burners, broiler, and an oven and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Completing the galley setup is a double stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage in cabinets both above and below the work surface. An optional counter extension flips up for additional space for the nav station or galley.
Head A reliable manual marine head is provided along with hot and cold pressure water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12-volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor free. A molded vanity, Corian countertop, and SS sink provide easy to clean surfaces. A 16-gallon holding tank may be emptied via a dockside pump out or discharged via a y-valve, manual pump, and thru hull.
Electrical Slainte has both 110V AC and 12V DC services. She has the optional Freedom 10 Inverter/Charger. The 110-volt AC shore power provides dockside service for hot water, multiple outlets in the galley, head, and each cabin. The 12-volt DC system has 2-batteries connected by “GUEST” selector switches in the nav station for isolating batteries or combining them. Both the 110V and 12V service panels are equipped with breaker switches above the nav station. A bronze Dynaplate is provided for the best lightning/grounding protection available.
Electronics Slainte is equipped with a Raymarine ST60 Tridata with knot and depth meters combined, a Raymarine ST60 Wind Instrument, and a Raymarine ST4000 autopilot. A Standard Intrepid VHF radio is mounted at the nav station along with a remote RAM mic in the cockpit. A Raymarine SL631 Color Chartplotter is mounted in a Nav Pod at the helm.
Sails and Rigging Slainte is a factory-built sloop with an additional mast tang to easily add an optional staysail stay at a later time. The 120% Ullman Genoa is installed with a Harken roller furler. The full-battened Ullman mainsail has single-line reefing led aft to the cockpit and a Dutchman sailcontrol system. A Harken Battcar System reduces the effort of raising and reefing the full-battened mainsail. A boom vang makes sail adjustments easy and quick.
Safety Equipment and Accessories Slainte is a very capable and accommodating sailboat. Her “miscellaneous” list includes all the required Coast Guard safety equipment, a properly sized galvanized plow anchor with chain and rode, Muir electric windlass, CruiseAir reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning, SS swim ladder on the transom, Ritchie pedestal-mounted compass, a custom hard dodger, bimini, wheel cover, manual bilge pump, electric bilge pump with float switch, and the factory optional lightning ground system, coaming boxes, 3-blade bronze prop, and PSS Dripless Shaft Seal.
