Sea Licious is a clean and well maintained example of the very popular “Bill Shaw” designed “303’. A comfortable cockpit, roomy accommodations below, and spritely performance make this a perfect choice in a 30ft. Platform.

Accommodations:

Berths for six are provided in the V-berth (2), port settee (1), starboard settee (1), and aft quarter berth (2). The cabins are finished with blue fabric cushions and oiled teak joiner work. Down the companionway, the chart table is located conveniently to starboard with the galley opposite to port. Forward on the starboard main bulkhead is located a folding dinette table with convenient rack storage behind. The head with molded sink and vanity are located on the opposite side of the starboard main bulkhead, with hanging locker opposite. Ample ventilation is supplied by 4 screened opening ports and 2 overhead hatches.

Galley

The galley is equipped with a top-loading insulated icebox. The Hillier propane stove has 2-burners and an oven and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Completing the galley setup is a stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage in cabinets both above and below the work surface.

Head

A reliable manual marine head is provided along with hot and cold pressure water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12-volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor free. A molded vanity and sink provide easy to clean surfaces. A 18-gallon holding tank may be emptied via a dockside pump out or discharged via a y-valve and thru hull.

Electrical

Sea Licious has both 110V AC and 12V DC services. The 110-volt AC shore power provides dockside service for hot water, the recently upgraded “GUEST” battery charging system, multiple outlets in the galley, head, and each cabin. The 12-volt DC system has 2-batteries connected by “GUEST” selector switches in the aft cabin for isolating batteries or combining them. Both the 110V and 12V service panels are equipped with breaker switches above the nav station.

Electronics

Sea Licious is equipped with “Kenyon” knot and depth meters, and a Raymarine ST 4000 autopilot located at the helm opposite the engine instrumentation. An Icom M-502 VHF radio is mounted at the nav station along with a Craig Stereo with cassette and 4 speakers and a Garmin GPS at the navigation station.

Sails and Rigging

Roller furling is standard for the 150% Genoa. The main sail has jiffy reefing and Lazy Jacks, with all lines and sail controls led and handled from the cockpit. Large self-tailing primary winches, cabin top traveler, and boom vang make sail adjustments easy. With the addition of the cruising chute this boat will handle well on all points of sail.

Safety Equipment and Accessories

Sea Licious is a very capable and accommodating sailboat. Her “miscellaneous” list includes all the required Coast Guard safety equipment, a properly sized galvanized plow anchor with coated chain and rode, SS swim ladder on the transom, 2-speed Lewmar 42 ST primary & Lewmar #8 mast mounted halyard winches, a mechanical boomvang, Ritchie pedestal mounted compass, a “Tan” dodger and bimini ), 12-volt cabin fans in each cabin, Harken roller furling for the genoa with a Harken mechanical backstay adjuster, Whale manual bilge pump, Rule 2000 electric bilge pump with float switch pedestal mounted folding cockpit table, 2 cockpit coaming compartments, removable raised helm seat, Spinnaker pole with stanction mounted chocks, brass kerosene oil lamps, 12 volt search light, and manual sea water pump in galley.
