The Defever 49 RPH is one of the great cruising boats patterned after the “Alaskan” that Art DeFever designed for Grand Banks. The Alaskan inspired the popular raised pilothouse design style that has been copied in many other cruisers. Interim has berths for up to 7 and is a great cruiser for a couple with guests or a family, with luxurious accommodations and two staterooms. The pilothouse offers protection from inclement weather, while the bridge atop the pilothouse offers an incredible 360-degree view for navigation. The design also features hard chines for excellent stability, and twin 120-hp Ford Lehman engines provide economical cruising with a consumption rate of 4.0 gph at 1,800 rpm. Accommodations: Interim underwent a major refit in 2003 under the guidance of an architect and interior designer. Virtually all systems are new, including heating and air conditioning, refrigeration, washer/dryer, canvas, and a 10-foot TwinVee tender with 20-hp Evinrude engine.
