Godspeed is one of those rare boats that comes along only once in a while that has been tenderly cared for day in and day out - so much so that she has been on the cover of Ocean Navigator magazine recently and has been seen in current ads for Pacific Seacraft. She has appeared in numerous sailing articles and has been featured in Pacific Seacraft brochures. Built in 1996, she is an immaculate representation of the storied Pacific Seacraft 37.

Her teak interior is varnished in a light satin and complemented with creamy tan upholstery. On deck, Godspeed has teak dorades with stainless steel cowls, mast pulpits, and custom teak bi-fold companionway doors. She has a new 2009 Raymarine E80 Chartplotter/Radar and new electric head. The Yanmar diesel has 933 hours metered.

Accommodations:

Berths for six are provided in the V-berth (2), port settee (1), starboard settee (2), and aft quarter berth (1). The cabins are finished with tan fabric cushions and varnished teak joiner work. Down the companionway, the chart table/nav station is located conveniently to port with the galley just opposite. Aft to port is the quarterberth. Two settees flank the beautiful teak double drop leaf dining table. The starboard settee converts to a double berth. Forward of the main cabin you will find the master stateroom with head and shower located just aft to starboard.

Galley

The galley is equipped with a top-loading insulated icebox which is refrigerated. The stainless steel propane stove has 3 burners and an oven with broiler, and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Completing the galley setup is a double stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage in cabinets both above and below the work surfaces.

Head

A reliable Thetford electric marine head is provided along with hot and cold pressure water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12-volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor free. A molded vanity and sink provide easy to clean surfaces. A 20-gallon holding tank may be emptied via a dockside pump out or discharged via a Y-valve, manual pump, and thru hull.

Electrical

Godspeed has both 110V AC and 12V DC services. The 110-volt AC shore power provides dockside service for hot water, the upgraded Freedom 20 inverter/battery charging system, and multiple outlets in the galley, head, and each cabin. The 12-volt DC system has 3 AGM batteries connected by selector switches in the nav station for isolating batteries or combining them. Both the 110V and 12V service panels are equipped with breaker switches above the nav station.

Electronics

Godspeed is equipped with B&G knot and depth meters, B&G wind instrument, and B&G autopilot. An Icom M-810 Single Side Band radio is mounted at the nav station along with a B&G repeater (network data) and a B&G GPS. There is a Standard Intrepid VHF and Link 2000 battery monitor at the navigation station. The ship’s nav station radar is a Raytheon R20XX Raster Scan w/ Raychart 600XX. NEW at the helm is a Raymarine E80 Chartplotter/Radar. For entertainment, a JVC Stereo w/remote and a RCA TV/VCR are provided. There is a 12-volt powered TV/FM antenna mounted on the mast.

Sails and Rigging

Harken Roller furling headsails are standard for the Voyagemaker 37. The full-batten mainsail has jiffy reefing and Lazy Jacks, with all lines and sail controls led to and handled from the cockpit. Large self-tailing primary winches, cabintop traveler, and boom vang make sail adjustments easy. Sail inventory is 130% genoa, staysail, and mainsail.

Safety Equipment and Accessories

Godspeed is a very capable and accommodating sailboat. Her “miscellaneous” list includes all the required Coast Guard safety equipment, a ParaTech sea anchor, two 35lb CQR plow anchors with High Test 5/16” chain and rode, SS swim ladder on the transom, 2-speed Lewmar 46 ST primary winches, a mechanical boomvang, Edson pedestal mounted Ritchie compass, a Sunbrella Toast dodger and bimini, and Marine Green mainsail cover), six 12-volt Hella cabin fans,  manual bilge pump in the cockpit, Rule 2000 electric bilge pump with float switch, pedestal mounted folding teak cockpit table, 2 cockpit coaming compartments, mast-mounted Whisker pole, Force 10 propane heater/fireplace, 12-volt search light, and electric seawater pump in galley.
