The Hunter 306 offers incredible big-boat features in a 30-foot package, from her 2 private cabins, full dinette, and galley to her spacious cockpit with walk-through transom, you'll be amazed by what she has to offer. Hunter bills the 306 as the logical step up from a daysailer or down from a larger boat. There is plenty of headroom down below, and lots of opening ports and hatches for ventilation. Sailing hardware includes a Selden rig, Harken blocks, and Lewmar winches.

Patriot is a one-owner boat with very low engine hours on her Yanmar diesel and has been very well maintained. Highlights include the optional propane stove with oven, hot and cold pressure water, and a cruising spinnaker with dousing sock.

Accommodations:

Stepping down the companionway you'll find an open, airy salon with lots of natural light from opening ports and hatches with screens. Dark-blue fabric cushions surround a surpisingly large dinette with a fold-down leaf that allows even more room at the table. To starboard is the head, which is fiberglass-lined and has standing headroom for convenient showering. There's also plenty of storage in cabinets behind the sink and counter. Forward of the head is a nav station with full chart table, the electrical panel, VHF radio, tank monitor, and stereo.

Opposite the nav station is the galley, with a deep sink that features a cover/cutting board to increase the food prep space. Patriot has the optional propane stove with oven, and more storage is found here, both above the counter and underneath. Aft of the galley is a spacious private cabin with a double berth and hanging locker. Forward of the salon is the V-berth.

Deck and Hull

The Hunter 306's large cockpit is protected by a bimini and has a helm seat that folds down into the swim platform to create a walk-through transom for ease of boarding from the water, dock, or dinghy. There's even a cockpit shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off. Teak stern rail seats are sure to be a favorite perch for the skipper and guests. The folding cockpit table is large enough for cockpit dining and out of the way when folded. Wide side decks and handrails along the cabintop make going forward safe and easy, and a deep, self-draining anchor well houses the ground tackle at the bow.

Sails and Rigging

Patriot features a Selden rig with roller furling mainsail and jib, and a Rodkicker boom vang for precision tuning. Sail controls are led aft to Spinlock clutches and Lewmar 16 winches. Hunter's arch provides convenient access to the traveler controls for the helmsman or crew.

Mechanical

The Yanmar 2GM diesel has less than 100 hours and has been carefully maintained.

Safety Equipment and Accessories

Patriot's "miscellaneous" list includes the required Coast Guard safety gear, dock lines, and fenders. Ground tackle includes both a plow and a Danforth anchor with plenty of chain and rode.
