We are delighted to offer one of Pacific Seacraft’s best-handling, seakindly, and graceful models. The Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 is the perfect choice for all types of sailing … whether sailing close to home or reaching for a distant horizon. Her hull design provides for full rudder and propeller protection and a deep-V shape forward for a comfortable ride. She also offers shoal draft capabilities to access the most remote anchorages. “Galini” is a freshwater Dana 24 in excellent condition and is ready to take her new owners on the next big adventure.

Accommodations:

Berths for four are provided in the V-berth (2), and port and starboard settees (2). Down the companionway, the galley is to port. The Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 features an open cabin layout very similar to the famous Pacific Seacraft 31 model ... only smaller. The unique dining table is forward between the settees and conveniently slides away under the v-berth when not in use. The enclosed head is aft to starboard. Over the main cabin is a large hatch with screen for ventilation. All ports are opening chromed bronze with tempered glass and screens.

Galley

The galley is equipped with a top-loading insulated icebox which is refrigerated. The Force 10 stainless steel propane stove has 2 burners, broiler, and an oven and is gimbaled for duty under sail. Completing the galley setup is a double stainless steel sink, hot and cold pressure water, and plenty of storage in cabinets both above and below the work surface. An optional counter extension flips up for additional space for the nav station or galley.

Head

A reliable manual marine head is provided along with hot and cold pressure water. Hot water is supplied electrically by a hot water heater when dockside and via a heat exchanger from the engine when underway. A 12-volt shower sump pump will discharge shower water, helping to keep the bilge clean and odor free. A molded vanity, Corian countertop, and SS sink provide easy to clean surfaces. Galini's head has a Lectrasan waste treatment system and her 15-gallon holding tank may be emptied via a dockside pump out or discharged via a thru hull.

Electrical

Galini has both 110V AC and 12V DC services. She has the optional Freedom 10 Inverter/Charger. The 110-volt AC shore power provides dockside service for hot water, multiple outlets in the galley, head, and each cabin. The 12-volt DC system has 2 batteries connected by “GUEST” selector switches in the nav station for isolating batteries or combining them. Both the 110V and 12V service panels are equipped with breaker switches above the nav station. A bronze Dynaplate is provided for the best lightning/grounding protection available.

Electronics

Galini is equipped with a Raymarine ST60 instrument package with knot and depth meters and wind speed and direction.

Sails and Rigging

Galini is a factory-built sloop with an additional mast tang to easily add an optional staysail stay at a later time. Harken roller furling is available for the 120% Ullman Genoa. The full-battened Ullman mainsail has single-line reefing led aft to the cockpit.  A boom vang makes sail adjustments easy and quick.

Safety Equipment and Accessories

Galini is a very capable and accommodating sailboat. Her “miscellaneous” list includes all the required Coast Guard safety equipment, a properly sized galvanized plow anchor with chain and rode, SS swim ladder on the transom, Ritchie bulkhead-mounted compass, manual bilge pump, electric bilge pump with float switch, and the factory optional lightning ground system, coaming boxes, 2-blade bronze prop, and PSS Dripless Shaft Seal.
